Lt. Gov. Hochul says state Senate too ‘afraid’ of NRA to pass gun control bill

Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul ratcheted up the pressure Tuesday on the state Senate, claiming legislators were too “afraid” of the NRA to vote on a proposed gun control bill.
Hochul gathered with students, parents, teachers and administrators on the steps of the Springfield Gardens Campus in Queens to demand they vote on a bill already approved by the Assembly that would empower the public to take guns away from potentially dangerous individuals.
