Governor Hochul is investing in schools to get our students, educators, and parents back on track after two tough years of the pandemic.

Kathy believes in creating a statewide system that puts a quality education within reach for all. From expanding access to early childhood education to improving the state’s colleges and universities, she will ensure that New York is a national leader in education.

Governor Hochul also knows the pandemic hit children and parents hard, which is why she plans to invest an additional $2.1 billion in New York’s public schools to increase the number of school teachers, bus drivers, and support staff.

As Governor, Kathy has also outlined a vision to transform SUNY into the best statewide public higher education system in the nation by expanding its global reach as a leader in research and innovation, supporting students and setting them on the path to economic success, and focusing on equity so that every student can thrive no matter their background.
