Zeldin Earns Donald Trump’s “Complete and Total” Endorsement
NEW YORK – Just three weeks before election day, MAGA Republican Lee Zeldin scored a long-awaited endorsement from disgraced former president Donald Trump — a stamp of approval he’s been chasing for months.
In a post on Truth Social today, Trump gave Zeldin his “complete and total endorsement,” describing Zeldin as someone he’s known “for many years” and a “‘must see’ for others in Congress.”
In September, Zeldin hosted a fundraiser with the former president in a desperate cash grab. And, while recently addressing questions about the possibility of campaigning with Trump at future events, Zeldin said, “Yeah, that’s something we might do.”
A recent Siena poll found that 63% of New Yorkers hold an unfavorable view of Donald Trump. In addition, former Republican Governor George Pataki described Zeldin’s close ties with Trump as “not a winning strategy.”
“With an endorsement from Trump himself, Lee Zeldin now has a formal stamp of approval as the most extreme and dangerous candidate to ever run for governor in New York State history,” said Campaign Spokesman Jerrel Harvey. “While Trump’s endorsement doesn’t come as a surprise, becoming the former president’s handpicked choice for governor proves Zeldin’s full embrace of the MAGA agenda and shows just how out of touch he is with New York voters.”
