No Plan Lee: Tax Cuts for Billionaires, Cuts in Services to New Yorkers

Published: October 26, 2022

NEW YORK – Lee Zeldin is at it again, campaigning on soundbites and touting plans with no serious specifics.

While Zeldin has pledged to cut taxes for billionaires, he still refuses to explain what critical services and support he would trim for hardworking New Yorkers to make up for the deficit his tax plan would create.

“It’s clear that Lee Zeldin’s tax cuts for billionaires will leave hardworking New York families out to dry,” said Hochul Campaign Spokesman Jerrel Harvey. “New Yorkers deserve to know what critical services Lee Zeldin would cut if he were to go through with this tax plan. So far, we’ve seen nothing but empty statements from a failed candidate.”

In order to afford his tax cuts for billionaires, Zeldin would have to make cuts from any of the following (or more):

  • Bonuses for healthcare workers
  • Medicaid Benefits
  • Public safety programs
  • Critical infrastructure projects
  • Historic investments in public schools and childcare
  • Mental health services
  • Public health programs
