ICYMI: New York State AFL-CIO Endorses Kathy Hochul for Governor

NEW YORK – New York State AFL-CIO today endorsed Governor Kathy Hochul for a full term, commending the Governor’s strong advocacy on behalf of working people and efforts to deliver relief to union members impacted by the pandemic. 

“It’s an absolute honor to earn the support of the New York State AFL-CIO whose commitment to advancing the rights of working people has made New York a model state for organized labor,” said Governor Kathy Hochul. “Working together, we’ll continue to fight for good-paying, union jobs and promote fairness and justice for every worker.”

“Governor Hochul has been a lifelong supporter for working families and has fought her entire career for workers’ rights, fair wages, and equal representation,” said New York AFL-CIO President Mario Cilento. “The AFL-CIO is proud to endorse her for a full term so that we can continue to support our members through the pandemic and improve the lives of working people.” 

The New York State AFL-CIO is a federation of 3,000 unions, representing 2.5 million members, retirees and their families with one goal: to raise the standard of living and quality of life of all working people.
