Hochul Campaign Statement on Lee Zeldin’s Illegal Coordination with Super PACs

NEW YORK – In response to bombshell reporting on Lee Zeldin’s open coordination with billionaire-backed super PACs propping up his campaign, Hochul campaign spokesman Jerrel Harvey released the following statement:

“Just like Donald Trump, Lee Zeldin doesn’t think the rules apply to him. Zeldin’s campaign is now under investigation for potentially illegally coordinating with dark money groups that have spent a combined $11.8 million to spew false ads. Whether it’s overturning the will of voters or his ongoing petition fraud scandal, Lee Zeldin has shown a pattern of contempt for our democracy and is too dangerous for New York.”
