Hochul Campaign Launches Two New Digital Ads

Published: October 4, 2022

NEW YORK – Governor Kathy Hochul’s campaign today released two new digital ads, “Focused On It” and “Wanted,” highlighting Governor Hochul’s strong record on public safety as well as Lee Zeldin’s dangerous anti-abortion agenda.

“Focused On It,” which will run in both English and Spanish, features retired Detective Sergeant Luis Muñiz emphasizing Governor Hochul’s record of getting illegal guns off our streets and keeping New Yorkers safe. “Wanted” features Jackie Burbridge of Long Island, who shares how Lee Zeldin’s extreme anti-abortion agenda would have prevented her from receiving a life-saving abortion.

The digital ads are part of a multi-million dollar paid media campaign and will target voters statewide on streaming, social, audio, and related digital platforms.

MUÑIZ: Lots of politicians talk about keeping New Yorkers safe.

MUÑIZ: Governor Kathy Hochul is actually focused on it.

MUÑIZ: She’s cracked down on illegal guns and strengthened red flag laws to keep weapons out of dangerous hands.

MUÑIZ: She’s getting results.

BURBRIDGE: We couldn’t wait to start our family.

BURBRIDGE: But my pregnancy was no longer viable and I would die without an abortion.

BURBRIDGE: And that’s why Lee Zeldin scares me.

BURBRIDGE: He would ban abortions without exceptions for rape, incest, or lives like mine.

BURBRIDGE: Lee Zeldin just can’t be our governor.
