Hochul Campaign Launches Two New Digital Ads

Published: September 21, 2022

NEW YORK – Governor Kathy Hochul’s campaign today released two new digital ads, “Can’t Keep Happening” and “Ten Lives<style=”font-weight: 400;”>,” featuring Zeneta Everhart whose son Zaire was wounded during the tragic shooting at Tops supermarket in Buffalo. The ads highlight Governor Hochul’s swift response to the shooting while slamming Lee Zeldin for his opposition to commonsense gun safety laws that keep New Yorkers safe.

The digital ads are part of a multi-million dollar paid media campaign making clear to voters how dangerously out of touch Lee Zeldin is with New York.

EVERHART: I thought the grocery store was safe. Then a shooter attacked ours.

EVERHART: When my son got shot, I thought, ‘This can’t keep happening.’

EVERHART: Governor Kathy Hochul took action immediately and signed stronger gun laws to keep families like ours safe.

EVERHART: A shooter took ten lives from our community. My son was almost one.

EVERHART: So when Lee Zeldin says he’d overturn commonsense gun laws and let more guns onto our streets, that’s unacceptable.

EVERHART: He’d make us all less safe.
