NEW YORK – Today, Governor Kathy Hochul’s campaign announced a record-breaking $21.6 million raised in the five months since the governor declared her candidacy in August.

This fundraising haul is the largest contribution total for any single filing period in New York history, surpassing the $12.8 million raised in 2002 by Governor Pataki — a two-term incumbent. Governor Hochul continues to build a broad coalition of supporters, with 87.6% of all donors being from New York State and donations from all 62 counties.

With $21.3 million cash on hand, including money raised as lieutenant governor, the campaign will have the resources to communicate directly with voters, organize supporters and support Democratic candidates up and down the ticket. In addition to the impressive total sum, over half of Governor Hochul’s contributions were $250 or less, reflecting strong grassroots support for the governor’s decisive leadership.

“I am so proud of our campaign team and grateful for all of our supporters who share our vision to create a stronger, more equitable New York,” said Governor Kathy Hochul. “As the campaign continues to grow, we will work tirelessly to address the needs of New Yorkers across the state, uplift working families and move our state forward.”
