NEW YORK – Four Democratic county chairs from Dutchess, Montgomery, Rensselaer, and Seneca counties today announced their endorsement of Governor Kathy Hochul’s campaign for a full term. Governor Hochul has now received the endorsement of chairs from 52 of the 62 counties statewide.

“I am honored to receive the endorsement of these remarkable county chairs who are dedicated to growing our party and electing candidates with strong Democratic values,” said Governor Kathy Hochul. “Together, we’ll continue to build a broad coalition that reaches voters in every region of our state.”

Julie Shiroishi, Dutchess County Chair:

“Kathy Hochul understands government at all levels—from town board, to state, to federal—and has already proven that she is committed to collaboration and transparency. I am proud to endorse Governor Hochul’s campaign and look forward to seeing the many ways her thoughtful, broad-reaching agenda will improve the lives of Dutchess County residents and all New Yorkers.”

Terry Bieniek, Montgomery County Chair:

“I am endorsing Kathy Hochul for governor because of her experience working with all counties and her experience in county government when she was Erie County Clerk. She is someone who understands and supports rural counties like Montgomery.”

Michael Monescalchi, Rensselaer County Chair:

“I am honored to endorse Governor Kathy Hochul to a full term. With her decades of experience and steadfast leadership, I am confident that she will continue to serve upstate New York well, and I look forward to working with her for many years to come.”

David Wood, Seneca County Chair:

“Kathy Hochul has always been an upstate New York proponent and a friend of Seneca County. We are fortunate to have a governor who is from our part of the state. More importantly, she has a special understanding of the unique needs of our region, the family farms, and the businesses that make up this distinctive area of our beloved state.”
