Cayuga, Fulton, and Tompkins Democratic Committees Endorse Kathy Hochul for Governor
|NEW YORK – The Cayuga, Tompkins and Fulton Democratic Committees today announced their endorsement of Governor Kathy Hochul for a full term. The committees praised Governor Hochul’s collaborative approach to working with leaders at all levels of government and commitment to advancing an agenda that works for every New Yorker.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Cayuga, Fulton, and Tompkins County Democratic Committees,” said Governor Kathy Hochul. “Both organizations have a strong commitment to upholding Democratic values, and I look forward to working with them to build a New York that works for everyone.”
“As an educator, former school board member, and city councilor, I have always known Governor Kathy Hochul to be a fighter on behalf of local communities and a strong voice for Central New York,” said Cayuga County Democratic Chair Dia Carabajal. “It is an absolute honor to endorse the Governor for a full term and the Cayuga County Democratic Committee looks forward to working with her to build a winning coalition.”
“Governor Kathy Hochul has hit the ground running and has already proven herself a strong leader, working with our municipalities and giving them a needed voice in government,” said Ed Jasewicz, Chair of the Fulton County Democratic Committee. “She is a dedicated public servant who has shown her support to our county working with all our local, state, and federal officials for the betterment of our community. Although it is not our practice to endorse before the primary, our committee felt strongly that we must show our support to someone who has always stood with us and Fulton County.”
