Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson and Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine Endorse Governor Kathy Hochul

NEW YORK – Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson and Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine today announced their endorsement of Governor Kathy Hochul for a full term. They join Queens Borough President Donovan Richards in their endorsements.

Elected in 2021, Vanessa Gibson is the first woman and Black Bronx borough president. Prior to this, Gibson served as a member of the New York City Council from 2014 to 2021, where she represented neighborhoods in the South Bronx, including Concourse, Morrisania, Highbridge, Morris Heights, and Mount Eden.

Mark Levine was elected as Manhattan borough president in 2021. Levine previously served as a member of the New York City Council from 2014 to 2021, where he represented Morningside Heights, West Harlem, and parts of the Upper West Side and Washington Heights. He has also served as a Democratic district leader in the 71st State Assembly District.

“Borough presidents Vanessa Gibson and Mark Levine are two of New York City’s most dedicated public servants,” said Governor Kathy Hochul. “ Vanessa and Mark took office in the midst of the pandemic and have worked tirelessly to make their boroughs safer and more affordable places to live and work. I’m honored to receive their endorsements and look forward to continuing to work together to get things done for New Yorkers.”
