32BJ SEIU Endorses Governor Kathy Hochul
NEW YORK – 32BJ SEIU today endorsed Governor Kathy Hochul for a full term. Union leadership applauded Governor Hochul’s commitment to building a safer and more affordable state for working families.
32BJ is the largest union of property service workers in the country and represents more than 85,000 members in New York State working primarily as cleaners, property maintenance workers, doormen, security officers, window cleaners, building engineers, and school and food service workers.
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the hardworking members of 32BJ, who serve on the frontline of our workforce and keep our state moving forward,” said Governor Kathy Hochul. “32BJ members are the backbone of New York, and together, we will continue to fight for safe working conditions, good-paying jobs, and an economy that lifts up all New Yorkers.”
“If we’re going to bring a worker-led recovery from COVID-19 in New York State, working people need a strong ally in the governor’s office,” said 32BJ President Kyle Bragg. “From fighting for prevailing wages to standing up for workplace protections, Governor Kathy Hochul has been there for working families. Her unwavering commitment to the cause of labor is needed now more than ever. With enthusiasm, we endorse Governor Hochul for a full term.”
