Hochul Campaign Statement on Donald Trump Preparing Presidential Run

NEW YORK — In response to a new report that Donald Trump is planning another presidential run, Hochul campaign spokesman Jerrel Harvey released the following statement:

“Election denier Lee Zeldin will no doubt be a key ally to Donald Trump in his run for president in 2024. Given his longstanding ties to Trump and his vote to overturn the 2020 presidential election results on January 6th, there’s no question that Zeldin would overrule the will of New Yorkers to aid the disgraced former president. The stakes for our democracy could not be higher — New York cannot afford the Zeldin-Trump agenda.
