Hochul Campaign Launches New Ad on Zeldin’s Cruel Abortion Agenda

NEW YORK – The Hochul campaign launched a new television ad this week  highlighting Lee Zeldin’s cruel views on abortion and the danger he poses to women across New York. The ad, “Hardest Day,” features Jackie Burbridge of Long Island, who shares her personal abortion story and calls out Lee Zeldin for his extreme anti-abortion agenda. If elected, Lee Zeldin would put women in harm’s way, banning abortion without exceptions for rape, incest, and lives like Jackie’s. 

The ad, running statewide, is part of a multi-million dollar paid media campaign making clear to voters how dangerously out of touch Lee Zeldin is with New York.

BURBRIDGE: I was really excited thinking that I had made it through the first trimester.

BURBRIDGE: And then my doctor came in and told me I needed to get to the ER right away. 

BURBRIDGE: When I found out that the pregnancy wasn’t viable and that I would need to have an abortion, I was devastated. 

BURBRIDGE: It was the hardest day. But it saved my life.

BURBRIDGE: And that’s why Lee Zeldin scares me. He would ban abortions without exceptions for rape, incest, or lives like mine. 

BURBRIDGE: That’s so cruel. Lee Zeldin can’t be our governor.
