Congressman Ritchie Torres Endorses Governor Kathy Hochul
NEW YORK – Congressman Ritchie Torres today endorsed Governor Kathy Hochul for a full term. Representative Torres is the tenth New York State congressional member to endorse the governor, joining Representatives Adriano Espaillat, Carolyn Maloney, Sean Patrick Maloney, Gregory Meeks, Kathleen Rice, Paul Tonko, Jerry Nadler, Brian Higgins, and Joe Morelle.
First elected in 2020, Congressman Torres currently represents New York’s 15th Congressional District which includes the western and southern portions of the Bronx. He is a member of the Committee on Financial Services and serves as the Vice Chair of the Committee on Homeland Security. Prior to joining Congress, Representative Torres served for seven years on the New York City Council, where he became the first openly LGBTQ elected official from the Bronx.
