Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney Endorses Governor Kathy Hochul
|NEW YORK – Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney today endorsed Governor Kathy Hochul for a full term. Joining Representatives Kathleen Rice, Paul Tonko, Jerry Nadler, Brian Higgins, Joe Morelle, Sean Patrick Maloney and Gregory Meeks, Representative Maloney is the eighth member of the New York State congressional delegation to endorse Governor Hochul.
Congresswoman Maloney is the first woman to represent New York’s 12th Congressional District and is the first Chairwoman of the House Committee on Oversight and Reform. First elected to Congress in 1992, Rep. Maloney represents most of the East Side of Manhattan, Roosevelt Island and parts of Brooklyn and Queens.
“I’m humbled and grateful to be endorsed by my good friend and one of New York’s most dynamic leaders, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney,” said Governor Kathy Hochul. “When I first arrived in congress, Rep. Maloney showed me around the halls of the capitol and is one of the many great women to have paved the way for my administration. Congresswoman Maloney has a proven track record of delivering for New Yorkers and I’m so glad I can count on her support as we continue to move New York forward.”
“Governor Hochul is an extraordinary individual with the tenacity and passion to bring real reform and honest change to New York and I’m so excited to support her along this journey,” said Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney. “Governor Hochul and I became friends back when she ran for Congress and have worked side-by-side with each other ever since. It has been so inspiring to watch the governor take the reins and lead our great State through the past several months and I could not be more honored to endorse her for a full term.”
