NEW YORK – The campaign for Governor Kathy Hochul today announced that Rev. A.R. Bernard, one of the most influential pastors in the country and a nationally renowned motivational scholar, has offered his support and endorsement for Governor Hochul’s campaign for a full term.

“I am deeply moved to receive the support of Rev. Bernard,” said Governor Kathy Hochul. “His visionary leadership extends beyond the pulpit. As we continue to build back from the pandemic, I look forward to working with Rev. Bernard on solutions that address longstanding inequities in our communities of color, bridge educational gaps in our schools, and prioritize meaningful investments for working families throughout our state.”

“I am supporting Gov. Hochul because of her commitment to equity, action and the success of our communities. She has aggressively and successfully hit the ground running and has proven that she is a solutions-oriented leader,” said the Rev. A.R. Bernard. “Her commitment to ensuring real affordable housing in the city and building a strong foundation for our state’s economic recovery, highlight her dedication to providing an equitable personal experience for all New Yorkers. I am proud to work with Gov. Hochul’s campaign to continue our collective vision for a unified, healthy and whole New York.”

Working collaboratively with faith-based leaders across the state, Rev. A.R. Bernard will spearhead a new equity initiative to further support Governor Hochul’s efforts to level the playing field for marginalized communities.
